Alright guys, I dug up some fresh info on what’s actually working on American YouTube (English-speaking audience) in 2026. All numbers come from real channels that are already making money.

Just so we’re clear — this is pure AdSense monetization. The figures are rough estimates based on views and typical RPM in each niche.

1. Kids Interactive Warm-ups

You know the ones — a kid or cartoon character does exercises and the viewer is supposed to follow along. Tons of Smurfs, SpongeBob, Roblox characters, Subway Surfers, etc.

  • RPM: around $1–2 per 1,000 views
  • Real examples:
    • One channel sitting at 16 million views → roughly $25–30k
    • Another one with 61 million views across 54 videos → easily $60–100k+
Kids watch these for a long time, so you can pack in a lot of ads. Downside is the niche isn’t empty anymore.

2. AI Animal Fights

Long videos (an hour or more) where AI generates animal fights in crazy scenarios — bear vs shark in Antarctica and stuff like that.

  • RPM: $3–4
  • Example: a channel with 22 million views → somewhere around $80–90k if monetization is solid
This one is still pretty easy to get into. Most of the work can be done with AI tools.

3. Interesting Facts / Storytelling (the newer type of explainers)

Not the old boring slideshows. Proper videos with voiceover + stock footage + light animation. Topics like “How submarines navigate without GPS for 6 months”.

  • RPM: $5–10
  • Example: one channel hit 15 million views → easy $10–20k+ (and more if the RPM is good)
Right now this feels like one of the better niches for money per view.

4. Actors / Movies / Film breakdowns

Short and mid-length videos about actors, random movie facts, “whatever happened to…” type stuff.

  • RPM: $4–7
  • Some videos blow up with hundreds of thousands of views, others flop hard. But the ones that hit keep the channel fed.

5. Classic slideshow explainers

Just pictures + AI voice.

These are struggling a lot more these days. A lot of them either get weak monetization or straight-up limited. I only included it because some people are still making a bit of money, but I wouldn’t make this my main niche.

Quick takeaway:
The fattest money right now is in the interesting facts/storytelling niche and AI animal fights.
Most consistent view volume is still the kids warm-ups.

Anyone already tried any of these in 2025–2026? Drop your numbers, curious how they compare.
