Apps you SHOULDN'T download: TikTok
(useless videos that make you dizzy) Snapchat
(you're not 15 anymore) Temu (impulse buys) Instagram (5 minutes = 1 hour) Facebook Messenger (WhatsApp by another name)
The 5 you SHOULD DOWNLOAD ↓1. Bitwarden
→ Free password manager that syncs your phone and computer. Drawback: The interface is bland, and the autofill sometimes requires an extra tap.
2. X
→ Get the latest news as it happens and follow the people you care about, for free, on Android and iPhone. Drawback: The feed can be time-consuming and cluttered with noise.
3. Claude
→ AI assistant that summarizes texts, writes, and answers questions, with a free plan on Android and iPhone. Drawback: The free plan has a daily message limit, so it's a good idea to check important information.
4. Tandem
→ Practice a language by speaking with native speakers, which is something a streak app doesn't offer. Drawback: Finding a reliable VPN provider is difficult, and the free version has limited features.
5. Proton VPN
→ Its free plan has no data limits and doesn't display ads. Drawback: The free plan doesn't allow you to choose your country, and it's slower during peak hours.
